As part of Movequip's custom crane installation, Verlinde lifting solutions made high-capacity, automated sugar handling possible, helping to maximise warehouse space and cut handling times considerably.
Working alongside Movequip since 2023, Verlinde helped optimise sugar handling operations for a major producer in Brazil. Active in one of the world's most important sugar markets, the customer was under growing pressure to manage large volumes efficiently.

How to boost overall productivity
To meet these needs, Movequip engineered and rolled out a customised handling system built around Verlinde equipment. The installation included four overhead travelling cranes working within a large warehouse. Each crane was able to lift several Big Bags at once, enabling high-capacity handling operations. These solutions were paired with Verlinde's lifting equipment, using Verlinde Eurobloc VT4 electric wire rope hoists, chosen for their robustness and suitability for intensive duty cycles. Paired with high-speed travel motors, the cranes guaranteed fast, efficient load movement throughout the facility.
The system also included a customised trolley reach designed to make the most of vertical storage space. An automated Big Bag handling solution was integrated as well, enabling faster, more precise operations and improving overall safety.
