Working with regional partner Cranes and Steel, Verlinde delivered a bespoke overhead crane solution for Arabian Transformers Co., making the handling of heavy steel components safer and more efficient.
When Arabian Transformers Co. (ATC), a manufacturer with expertise in steel structures and lifting technologies, required a dependable lifting solution to handle heavy steel components in Saudi Arabia, the company turned to Cranes and Steel, Verlinde's official and trusted distributor and partner across the Middle East. Cranes and Steel supplies Verlinde products including electric hoists, winches and lifting components, and also provides services such as maintenance, installation and after-sales support.
The project called for overhead cranes able to lift heavy steel components safely and precisely, all while adapting to site-specific challenges. Tight installation space meant runway beams and lifting equipment had to be precisely aligned, and the building's structural features called for tailored installation solutions.

To address the customer's varied lifting needs, Cranes and Steel engineered and installed a tailored overhead crane system with both single-girder and double-girder configurations. The cranes' lifting capacities were 3, 5, 10 and 30 tonnes, each running at 60 Hz.
Following a thorough site assessment, the team installed and aligned the runway beams, assembled the crane components, and integrated the electrical and control systems. Extensive testing confirmed safety and performance, and the team delivered detailed operator and maintenance training for the client to guarantee efficiency and safety while operating the crane.
For the lifting equipment, Cranes and Steel put forward the Verlinde EUROBLOC VT electric hoist for the client, as it was a strong fit for this type of application. EUROBLOC VT proved well suited to the demanding job of handling heavy steel components while maintaining safety, reliability and operational efficiency.
