ATS CRANES fits VERLINDE jib cranes to Qatar's ISF project pumping station

ATS CRANES, VERLINDE's official distributor in Qatar, provided two motorized 1.25 tonne jib cranes for maintaining the drinking-water pumping station at the vast ISF (Internal Security Forces) camp project in Qatar.

ATS CRANES is VERLINDE Lifting Equipment's official distributor in Qatar. A major project in Qatar

ATS CRANES was asked to supply two jib cranes to the ISF camp (Internal Security Forces) at Al Duhail, near Doha in Qatar. ISF is a large-scale, mixed-use project set for delivery in 2025: more than 330 buildings and specialist installations are planned across an impressive 400 hectares site. The camp is expected to house close to 20,000 residents and employees. Beyond residential buildings, the area is designed to provide functional, administrative and recreational facilities, including a five-star hotel and a stadium for 10,000 spectators. It is the first project in Qatar targeting QSAS certification (“Qatar Sustainability Assessment System”), aimed at promoting sustainability in construction and encouraging synergy between new developments and their surroundings. The project spans vast areas of development and site-wide infrastructure, including rainwater reservoirs for drinking and irrigation with a combined capacity of around 65,000 m3, roughly 12 km of roads, various surface and underground car parks, and even a secure boundary wall 9 metres high with its associated main entrance.

Robust, well-designed jib cranes

ATS CRANES was brought in to install two EUROSTYLE type VFM 1.25 t jib cranes, each with an 8 m motorized full-revolution boom and EUROCHAIN VR electric chain hoists, for maintaining the drinking-water pumping station. The jib cranes will be used to lift pumps and accessories during maintenance work, as well as to load and unload materials from trucks. The loads handled weigh approximately 800 to 900 kg.

For ISF, meeting a specific delivery and installation timeframe was essential, and the ATS team, working with VERLINDE, honoured that commitment. The jib crane was designed to the customer's specifications and built to operate in a hot, humid outdoor environment, with a stylish design that mattered greatly given the jib cranes' location next to the indoor garden/park, visible from a great distance.
ISF had already turned to ATS CRANES back in 2016 for the installation of VERLINDE jib cranes as part of their pumping substation project, which is why they again wanted robust, quality equipment from the VERLINDE brand, along with fast, reliable after-sales service from authorized agents ATS CRANES.

ATS CRANES also earned the trust of AL Jaber, one of the project's two main MEP engineering contractors, with whom they've worked for many years, regularly supplying them with VERLINDE equipment for pumping stations.
