VERLINDE's EUROCHAIN VX electric hoists come standard with a range of features: an UP/Down electrical safety limit switch, IP55 protection for the single-speed hoisting and travelling motors, a 2 buttons pendant for hook-suspended hoists or those with a manual trolley, or a 4 buttons pendant for hoists with an electric trolley. Also included as standard is a new suspension bracket, compatible with existing trolleys, designed to make installation easier. Shrinking the “C” dimension optimizes lifting height, offered as standard from 3m upward. Electric trucks, for finer control, come standard with a speed variation of 5 to 20 m/min.
A number of options round out this standard equipment, notably 90° rotation of the suspension along with folding, fixed or automatic top hooks. On the travel side, two speeds — 20 and 5 m/min — are proposed, together with a slow variable speed of 3 to 10 m/min.
Trimming the lifting unit's dimensions has improved approach data of the hook. The redesigned chain bucket has resulted in an innovative assembly in two parts that boosts the hoist's toughness and safety. These innovations fit in absolutely with the production environment.

The travel limit switch has been made more robust for harsh operating environments. The hoist brake, too, has been optimized. In addition to increased safety for the user, these elements do not require any adjustment and are low maintenance.
Extensive internal engineering work has gone into the hoist motor. Its operational characteristics now go further than those required by market standards. It is even more reliable than before, and its lifespan has been lengthened. The flow of cooling air for the motor has been improved and overheat sensors are fitted as standard.
Power output from the gear box has been increased: engineers refined how it operates by broadening the spread of available ratios, matching it to a wider set of customer applications and lifting more productivity out of it. The torque limiter now offers finer settings, giving building structures better protection should an excess load occur.
